Telecom: DoCoMo DATA - Churn Rate Hits Record Low

DoCoMo’s churn rate fell to a company-record 0.64% in the quarter ended June 30, down 0.16 percentage point from a year earlier.

One factor was that many users were hesitant to switch carriers before the introduction of mobile number portability on October 24.

More significantly, however, DoCoMo retained customers by enhancing its attractive lineup of 3G FOMA™ handsets, introducing new plans to integrate mova and FOMA billings, offering flat rates for packet communication, and enhancing its networks and services, such as convenient e-wallet services.
