Laying the foundation stone for the residential development «Gutstrasse» in Zurich-Wiedikon Implenia is setting trends for sustainable development in urban planning. Dietlikon, 27 August 2010 – The step-by-step renovation of the residential development Gutstrasse 85-127 in Zurich-Wiedikon, for which the «Im Gut» building cooperative appointed Implenia as total contractor in March 2010, entered a crucial phase today with the laying of the foundation stone. The assignment for the new housing development won by the architecture firm Professor Peter Märkli (Zurich) will be realised in accordance with state-of-the-art sustainability and urban planning requirements.
The housing complex features a total floor space of 27 000 m2 and meets the MINERGIE standard for residential buildings, achieving a trend-setting and architecturally fascinating integration into the urban planning context. The completion of the 52.5 million CHF project and the transfer of the 145 rental units is estimated to take place by fall 2012 (construction site E) and by the end of January 2014 (construction site F).
