Rolf E. Thurnherr, deputy chairman of the board and representative of the holders of bearer shares of Bossard Holding AG, will resign from the board at the annual general meeting of shareholders on April 12, 2011, as he will then have reached the retirement age laid down internally.

Bossard's shareholders elected Rolf E. Thurnherr to the board of directors on June 13, 1992. He was appointed deputy chairman in 2003 and, a year later, he took over the function of representing the holders of bearer shares.

With Rolf E. Thurnherr's departure in spring 2011, the top management body of Bossard Group will be losing a very highly esteemed personality. A tribute in recognition of his tremendous commitment to the Bossard Group and his invaluable services will follow in due course.

A new candidate for election to the board will be proposed in the board's invitation to the shareholders to attend the annual general meeting on April 12, 2011.
