3S customer MSR Malaysian Solar Resources is successfully producing highly efficient, TÜV certified solar modules with the first module factory in Malaysia.
Lyss, 7 September 2007. Since the beginning of March, MSR Malaysian Solar Resources in Gambang, Malaysia has been producing crystalline solar modules on a 25 MW line. Less than 5 months after signing the agreement, MSR began production and despatch of the modules. With successful completion of the initial TÜV inspection at the beginning of July, certification of the modules also took place in an absolute record time.
Thanks to the fastest ramp-up on location, a comprehensive transfer of know-how and fast-track certification, MSR (formerly San-Du Solar Energy) has turned the vision of the first production facility for solar modules of this kind into reality in record time. The production line is modular and, without a great deal of work or an interruption of production, can be expanded to 50 MW if required.
Quickly on the market with turnkey 3S Modultec lines 3S Swiss Solar Systems offers, under the new brand name 3S Modultec, turnkey production lines with varying degrees of automation, attuned to the specific needs of each individual module manufacturer. 3S customers benefit from the unique process know-how of the 3S Group and obtain, through genuine turnkey solutions, security for a high and constant quality of their products. The perfectly attuned 3S Modultec line range from a single source, combined with unique certification support and comprehensive process training, forms the optimal basis for the realisation of an overall project in the shortest time – even for customers like MSR, who wanted to implement, for the first time, a production launch with highest visibility and minimal risk. With the aid of the overall packages offered by 3S, module producers save between 6 and 9 months on time-to-market compared with competitors' projects. That enables a fast cash flow and has a positive impact on the return on investment.
