Comet Group full year 2011: Sales at prior-year level, net income above expectations. Sales of CHF 217 million as in prior year, representing currency-adjusted growth of 12%. Syngenta:
Sales increased by 12 percent at constant exchange rates (CER).  Sales volume increased by 11 percent and prices were up one percent.  Currency added a further two percent to give growth in reported sales of 14 percent. Link: Click Here

Novartis:
The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) published a study today that shows Bexsero induced a robust immune response against meningococcal B disease in the vast majority of infants vaccinated. These results also show that Bexsero can fit into various vaccination schedules in the first year of life when the likelihood of contracting this often-deadly disease is greatest. has finalised decisions on the personnel and organisational measures to be implemented as part of the cost reduction programme announced in December 2011. German industrial production very weak in December.
Industrial production fell by 2.9% (m/m) in December, much worse than expected (Barcap: 0.2%; Consensus 0.0%), even once taking into account the upward revision of the November figure to 0.0% from -0.6% previously announced. As a result, the average level of industrial production in Q4 was about 2 percent below its Q3 level. Link: Click Here
